عبر مقالات «الحقيقة الضائعة»، التي تم تصفيف حلقاتها في هذا الكتاب، دأب مولاي مصطفى العلوي، مثل رجل عابر في الزمن على تحدي كل الظروف من أجل الوفاء والالتزام بموعده الأسبوعي مع القراء، إلى أن عاشت الحقيقة الضائعة» لأزيد من نصف قرن، مذكرة كل مرة بالأحداث الساخنة التي وقعت في الماضي،  المعاصر متنبئة بما قد يحصل في المستقبل.. حتى وطدت مكانتها الكبرى بين الأعمدة الأكثر انتشارا في تاريخ المغرب المعاصر
